A new series of family travels slowly taking shape
Hey dears,
I’ve been more quiet here as we’ve been travelling for a few weeks now in Portugal, Spain and France. We call ourselves explorers and our curiosity as a family of five knows no bounds 😊 as we visit off the beaten track smaller towns with our kids in tow.
Today we managed to avoid the extreme heat in France, by visiting two prehistoric caves!
The Caves are called Isturitz and Oxocelhaya, in the French Bask Country. It is not allowed to take photos inside the caves, so it was a fully immersive visit, I realised I was fully present during the whole guided tour (in French) which took about 45min. I asked lots of questions and also learned a lot today. I am still in awe after this experience.
So I leave you with a quote (also in French in the photo below) and wish you an amazing summer, if you are in the Northern hemisphere. This quote was posted on the way towards the cave (a 10 minute walk from the parking lot).
“Quelle terre allons nous laisser a nos enfants
A quels enfants allons nous laisser cetter terre?”
Which means:
What Earth will we be leaving to our kids
To which kids are we going to leave this earth?
Happy July!
Stay human, be loved,
Gabby
